Bladder cancer is a common and dangerous malignancy which is associated with a variety of known and unknown environmental factors. Clinical management and surgical techniques prioritise detection and treatment of early tumours, which form the majority of newly diagnosed cancers. Imaging is central to establishing the presence of more advanced disease, for which a variety of treatment options exist, including radical curative surgery with or without bladder reconstruction, radiation therapy with curative or palliative intent, and systemic or local chemotherapy. Imaging techniques continue to evolve and this volume explores the relevance of CT with multidetector array, MRI, and computer-based reconstructions such as ‘virtual cystoscopy' to treatment choices in today's practice. A review of follow-up strategies and the imaging appearances of treated disease is presented, along with descriptions of modern surgical techniques, radiotherapy and chemotherapy regimens. - Contributions from all members of a multidisciplinary team, benefitting readers from across the specialties, including diagnostic radiology, clinical oncology, surgery and pathology - All aspects of bladder cancer management reviewed - surgical techniques, radiotherapy and chemotherapy - All diagnostic modalities reviewed in detail - CT with multidetector array, MRI, ultrasound and computer-based reconstructions CONTENTS Contributors; Series Foreword; Preface; 1. Book condition
An important factor of a second-hand book is the condition of the book. The buyer may not be surprised. Always mention damages or defects. We use a system with 3 stars:
The book is acceptable: you have used it to study and made notes and markings – but everything is still readable. The cover and pages are in good condition.
The book still looks good: there are a few notes in it and you marked it. There are hardly any signs of use on the cover and pages
The book is (almost) new: you have not written or marked in it. There are no signs of use on the cover and pages
