Head and Neck Cancer: Treatment, Rehabilitation, and Outcomes, Second Edition expands on recent advances in the management of head and neck cancer through a greater understanding of cancer cell growth and mechanisms, as well as the expansion of rehabilitation strategies across the allied health profession. Written by a team of internationally recognized experts from the medical and allied health communities, the book covers both the theoretical and clinical knowledge to support basic training of therapists in practice as well as graduate students, all illuminated with case examples - from swallowing disorders, through non-surgical voice restoration, to rehabilitation following total laryngeal surgery - on an accompanying DVD. With expanded coverage of current theory and clinical practice, this book continues to be an essential textbook and practical clinical reference for the H&N cancer rehabilitation team.

The book includes information on the impact of head and neck cancer on quality of life and provides practical strategies on stoma care and appliances. The treatments of swallowing and voice conditions are covered, in addition to the rehabilitation of olfaction, taste and pulmonary function. ================================================================== A special chapter is dedicated to patient support and survivorship following treatment, which is a valuable addition to the new edition. Book condition
An important factor of a second-hand book is the condition of the book. The buyer may not be surprised. Always mention damages or defects. We use a system with 3 stars:
The book is acceptable: you have used it to study and made notes and markings – but everything is still readable. The cover and pages are in good condition.
The book still looks good: there are a few notes in it and you marked it. There are hardly any signs of use on the cover and pages
The book is (almost) new: you have not written or marked in it. There are no signs of use on the cover and pages
