In Through the eye of the artist, Dr. Frank Goes seeks or negates the connection between eye disorders and the work of the artist painter. Sometimes an eye condition drives the painter to a higher level. Another time it means a "fin de carriere" for the artist. And how were eye disorders and blindness represented in painting? Artists like Rembrandt, Turner, Munch, Dürer, Degas, Picasso, Pissarro, Monet, Titian, Van Gogh and Le Corbusier pass the revue. Special attention was paid to the quality of the images.
Through the eye of the artist, is an in-house edition and appears in Dutch and in English.Dr. Frank Goes started, as an ophthalmologist, in 1984 the first extra-hospital ophthalmic surgical center in the Benelux.
